HABITAT FOR HUMANITY SOUP SUPPER    

The annual Winfield Area Habitat for Humanity Soup Supper will be Thursday, January 25th, 2018.  It will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church, 1101 Millington in Winfield.*  There is a suggested donation of $7.00 with children under six eating free.  Carry-out is available  

* NOTE! THIS IS A CHANGE IN LOCATION!!!

 

RELAY FOR LIFE – KICKOFF PARTY 

Relay for Life is an event designed to raise money to help research and cure cancer and help those dealing with the dreaded disease.  A kick-off party is planned for January 30.  Attendees can sign up for a team, as a survivor, caregiver, offer to help on the committee, learn where money goes and get any questions they may have, answered.  The party will be held at the Bluestem Family Health Building, Lower Level, 1230 East 6th Avenue from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.  (See the flyer on our bulletin board.)

 

              SOUP SUPPER AND CONTEST                

         6:00 p.m. -  Saturday, January 27, 2018                                                      

Each contestant will bring a favorite soup, stew or chili to serve.  You will be given a sample taste of all or as many soups as you want to taste. To vote, make your donation to your favorite soup. Then you are free to eat as much and as many of the soups as you would like.  Crackers and dessert will also be included with your meal.

Those willing to bring a pot of soup for the contest should contact Wilma in the church office or Marilyn Miller and tell us what kind of soup you will bring.

The soup that raises the most money will be crowned the winning soup for 2018
